Our Intro to Front-End Development workshop extends your knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on Flexbox CSS and JavaScript. With the guidance of one of our highly qualified instructors, you’ll dive deeper into each of these languages to make an interactive and exciting website. You’ll leave the class with a deeper understanding of each language and insight into whether you want to take a front-end bootcamp. You’ll come out with a website project you can continue to develop for an online portfolio.
Student Prerequisites:
The student should be comfortable operating their laptop: starting up, opening software, copying and pasting, opening a web browser, searching the web, going to a specific URL (web address), and navigating within a website.
Additionally, the student should be able to:
Give a basic explanation of the roles of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a web page
Add provided HTML tags to a document
Create new CSS rules following examples
Recognize variables and conditionals in JavaScript

Grand Circus is in The Broderick Tower, located at 1570 Woodward Ave - please use the Woodward entrance (not the entrance off of Witherell) - you will see a set of gold doors with a Grand Circus sign in the window. From the lobby, take the elevator up to the 3rd floor, check in at the front desk and we'll direct you to your classroom.
