YOUTH PERCEIVE MARIJUANA DIFFERENTLY THAN THE YOUTH OF THE 1980'S AND 1990'S. WIth changing view points, educating YOUTH ABOUT MARIJUANA AND ENGAGING THEM IN TREATMENT OR BEHAVIOR CHANGE CAN BE A SIGNFICANT CHALLENGE. This training will discuss what TODAY'S MARIJUANA IS LIKE, how YOUTH PERCEIVE MARIJUANA, how MARIJUANA AFFECTS THE ADOLESCENT BRAIN AND STRATEGIES FOR WORKING WITH YOUTH.  This training is meant for any human service professional working with teens who might be experimenting with marijuana or at risk for a substance use disorder.  Learning objectives for this training include:  * Current trends in youth marijuana use  * Current trends in youth perception of marijuana use  * Marijuana and adolescent brain development  * Strategies for engaging youth in prevention and treatment  3 MCBAP and 3 Social Work CEUs approved for training.  Registration start at 8:30am and training start at 9:00am.
