Parent Town Hall: Fostering Politically Engaged Youth

Tue 19 February 2019

You may feel that this isn't the best time for your kids to learn about politics. But we all know that it's important that kids understand how the process works, so they can make informed decisions when they vote. We've invited Tim Skubick, anchor of Off the Record, to speak with you about how to be a good role model in this POLITICALLY CHARGED ENVIRONMENT, as well as how to encourage your child to get ENGAGED. Skubick is the longest serving member of the state capitol press corps with 47 years of covering Michigan government and politics. He anchors the weekly Public TV series, Off the Record, and covers the capitol for a variety of media outlets including WJBK-TV in Detroit and writes columns for mlive.com. This event is free, but registration is required. Students are welcome!
