Youth Weaving 2-Day Workshop Instructor: Vicki Goulas Aril 26 & April 27 Days: Saturday & Sunday Time: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM each day One day workshop: (M) $64; (NM) $70 Most materials included; students provide yarn (see specifications) In this workshop, students will create a handwoven tapestry for a wall hanging. They’ll learn to thread a warp on a cardboard loom, weave various patterns, and finish the edges. Looms are provided; students bring their own yarn—one skein of light (#3) or medium-weight (#4) yarn for the warp, plus two or more skeins of medium (#4), bulky (#5), or super bulky (#6) yarn for the weft (heavier weights speed up the process). Students may recycle yarn they own and should consider color combinations and textures. Full yarn guidelines will be provided by the instructor prior to the start of class.
