WORKSHOP FOCUS: Whether you're a new writer plotting out your first
book, or a veteran who's been published for years looking for ways to
keep your stories fresh - this workshop is for you! The first half of
this interactive event is designed to introduce you to the
fundamental elements crucial to ficitional CHARACTERS & world
building. Then in the second half, we will use the new tools we've
learned to actually design a COMPELLING CHARACTER.ABOUT THE
INSTRUCTOR: Elaine Overton (www.elaineoverton.net
[http://www.elaineoverton.net]) is a lifelong Detroiter,
who's published several romance novels over the past 14 years. Now
she wants to share what she's learned about plotting characters that
capture the imagination and stay with the reader long after the book
ends.
NOTE: Although Elaine is a romance writer, this workshop is NOT genre
specific. The techniques taught in this class can be applied to ANY
fictional work.
