WORKSHOP FOCUS: Whether you're a new writer plotting out your first book, or a veteran who's been published for years looking for ways to keep your stories fresh - this workshop is for you! The first half of this interactive event is designed to introduce you to the fundamental elements crucial to ficitional CHARACTERS & world building. Then in the second half, we will use the new tools we've learned to actually design a COMPELLING CHARACTER.ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Elaine Overton (www.elaineoverton.net [http://www.elaineoverton.net]) is a lifelong Detroiter, who's published several romance novels over the past 14 years. Now she wants to share what she's learned about plotting characters that capture the imagination and stay with the reader long after the book ends. NOTE: Although Elaine is a romance writer, this workshop is NOT genre specific. The techniques taught in this class can be applied to ANY fictional work. LUNCH: A brown bag lunch is included with your R.S.V.P. REGISTRATION: 11am - 11:45am (seating is limited)
