Join us for the DEREK DEXTER MEMORIAL 5K ON SATURDAY, May 3, 2025, in
Harrison Township, Macomb! This vibrant event celebrates the life of
DEREK DEXTER, a passionate runner who left us too soon in May 2024.
The 5K run not only honors DEREK'S LOVE FOR THE SPORT BUT ALSO
SUPPORTS LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS AND
RUNNING SHOES THROUGH THE DEREK DEXTER MEMORIAL FUND.Participants can
expect a festive atmosphere with a beautiful course set in the scenic
Lake St. Claire Metropark. Check-in and packet pickup will be
available from 7:00 to 7:45 AM at the West Playfield Shelter,
conveniently located next to the Nature Center. All runners will
receive a commemorative t-shirt and a finisher award, making this a
memorable experience for everyone involved. Don’t miss this
