Singers on the Grand is a group of 11 vocalists, backed by a 10-piece
band. Based in Grand Ledge, Michigan, they have been performing in the
Lansing area for over 25 years. This year's revue covers many styles
of music that sprang from the creation of roots music. Group numbers
include "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" from the rockabilly genre, a heartfelt
rendition of Vince Gills "Go Rest High on that Mountain," and country
hits such as "Ramblin Man," Jolene," and "Humble and Kind." The show
also features small ensembles and soloists who will cover a wide
variety of music from blues, folk, rocknroll and more, including Id
Rather Go Blind, Wichita Lineman, Who Says You Cant Go Home? and it's
all at the St. Johns Middle School. Don't miss their newest revue,
filled with lush vocals and the high-energy Grand Band in this
season's opening performance!
