Awaken the Inner Leader

Join us for _AWAKEN THE INNER LEADER_ on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at NORTH HENNEPIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE in the Center for Business and Technology. This youth-led conference will provide young adults, ages 14 - 25, a platform to have their voices heard on relevant topics, learn about fostering healthy social-emotional development and to connect them with civic-engagement opportunities.  This FREE conference includes include performances, speakers, panels and workshops. Not only is this event perfect for young adults, but for Twin Cities youth groups and adults who work with them as well. Topics include: Juvenile Justice System/Foster Care (legal rights, housing, transition to adulthood and teen parenting), Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (education and resources), Sexual Exploitation, Homelessness and Mental Health (education, resources and tools). REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED THROUGH EVENTBRITE.
