MUSIC IS A MAGICAL MISTRESS AND SOME DAYS, IT CAN BE HARD TO KNOW
WHERE TO START.This is true for artists whether they’re playing
music in their basement alone, or performing on stages across the
country. Join ANNA TIVEL, SIRI UNDLIN (OF HUMBIRD) AND BRIANNA LANE at
BELLA LUNA STUDIOS on MAY 20TH for a candid discussion and WORKSHOP ON
THE ARTS OF SONGWRITING, COLLABORATION AND DIY LIVELIHOODS rooted in
music. This workshop will be an opportunity to engage with a
community of fellow musicians. We’ll focus on what we’re inspired
by, what we’ve learned along the way, and engage with questions of
artistic focus, spontaneity, and responsibility.
Both the creative process and the music industry can feel shrouded in
mystery and guarded by gatekeepers. It doesn’t have to be. If
you’re looking for a little help with finally finishing that song,
or taking the leap and booking a national tour for your band (yes,
it’s very possible!), or guidance on crowd-sourced fundraising, this
will be a good place to pick up some tips, tricks, and other tidbits
to help you along the way.
SUGGESTED DONATION OF $5-$15, but we want this to be accessible to
anyone interested, so PLEASE COME WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE ABLE TO
PAY.
This workshop is presented by Bella Luna Studios at Wolf House and by
the Warming House.
