The Minnesota Professional Engineers Foundation
[http://mnpef.org/] raises funds to support access to engineering
education for all, as well as promoting greater understanding of the
work of engineers and supporting fields through such programs
as Minnesota MATHCOUNTS [http://www.mathcountsmn.org/].The FOUNDATION
WANTS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO ENGINEERING EDUCATION AND JOBS, and we'd
like to bring in more friends to help us in this work. Thursday,
November 15 is Give to the Max Day
[https://www.givemn.org/story/Tc3nnf], a day of statewide giving and
generosity, and we'd like to invite you over for a cup of coffee (and
a bagel!) to learn more about our work and how people can support it.
Come spend an hour before work (did we mention we're buying the
coffee?), meet some cool new people, and see a great example of a
engineering firm first hand, thanks to our hosts at Westwood
Professional Services!
If you can't make it (but really, there is coffee and bagels and
stuff!), please consider sharing our link about Give to the Max Day
[https://www.givemn.org/story/Tc3nnf] and our work in the community.
We know we can do more to promote engineering education and careers,
but it all starts with a few people learning a little bit more about
the impact of engineering in our community.
