About your feature: Patrick Roche is an award-winning poet, performer,
and mental health advocate. Videos of his work have amassed over 8.5
million views on YouTube. He placed 3rd in the world at the Individual
World Poetry Slam and 2nd at Capturing Fire, the International Queer
Slam. Patrick has shared stages with DMC of RUN DMC, Brittany Snow of
Pitch Perfect, and Tyler James Williams of The Walking Dead. His
chapbook, An Exercise in Necromancy, was the winner of Bowery Poetry
Club's inaugural chapbook competition, and his work has been featured
on or published by Buzzfeed, UpWorthy, The Huffington Post, Button
Poetry, iHeartRadio, Beech Street Review, FreezeRay Press, Voicemail
Poems, and his mom's fridge.

*NOTE: to compete in the Last Chance Slam, you MUST have competed in
at least one month of the season (August - March) previous to now.

THE RULES
Each poem must be of the poet’s own construction. Each poet gets
three minutes (plus a ten-second grace period) per poem. If the poet
goes over time, points will be deducted from the total score. The poet
may not use props, costumes or musical instruments. Of the scores the
poet received from the five judges (random audience volunteers), the
high and low scores are dropped and the middle three are added
together, giving the poet a total score of 0-30.
All poets must sign up day of at the door and a random draw will be
conducted once the list closes! If you are interested in a spot and
