THOMAS' Anderson Student Center for a celebration, AWARDS, delicious
food, and fellowship. All students, who took the _NATIONAL GERMAN
EXAM _(NGE) are invited to join us; those placing into the 70th
percentile will receive a complimentary ticket.
In 2018, 578 Minnesota high school students (up by 93 over 2017) took
the annual National German Exam in levels II, III, and IV.
Nationwide, 20,494 students from nearly 700 schools took the NGE. On
May 20th, AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL MINNESOTA GERMAN STUDENTS
SCORING INTO THE 70TH PERCENTILE IN THE _NGE_. During this BANQUET,
we will also announce the 2018 AATG NGE/PAD winner, recognize the
MINNESOTA GERMAN TEACHER OF THE YEAR, and AWARD THE FIRST EVER
MINNESOTA UNDER GRADUATE GERMAN STUDENT OF THE YEAR certificate.
We are excited to welcome NAYA TADAVARTHY, a 2017 NGE/PAD AWARD I
WINNER FROM ST. PAUL ACADEMY, back. Naya will present on her recent
summer travels to Germany.
This year's keynote speaker is Mr. HENNING GOELDEN, DIRECTOR MARKETING
& SALES, SICK [https://www.sick.com/de/en/?saveCookie=true] SENSOR
INTELLIGENCE INC., who will speak about his experience as an
"Entsendeter", GERMAN-American business opportunities, and foreign
langauge and intercultural competence.
