Noted performance poet SAMUEL HAWKINS II WILL INTRODUCE PARTICIPANTS
TO SPOKEN WORD POETRY IN THIS WORKSHOP, helping to increase
participants' skills and comfort in performing their own work in front
of an audience. The WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE MEZZANINE LEVEL OF
THE HISTORIC CHATEAU THEATRE.
Space is limited to 15 participants. Registration is required for this
event, and cancellations will not be refunded after February 17.
Samuel Hawkins was born in the volunteer state but raised in bluegrass
and influenced by jazz and Hip Hop to bring you a spoken-word
experience that will not only entertain, but will also make you think.
Samuel has published two books of poetry, "This is Why Kids Wanna stay
up Late" and "The Greatest Story ever Sold." From festivals, colleges,
and conventions Samuel has wowed and moved audiences across the
nation.
