WHY ATTEND DESIGNATED COORDINATOR
BASIC TRAINING?
ALL 245D LICENSED PROGRAMS IN MINNESOTA ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A
DESIGNATED COORDINATOR (DC) AND A DESIGNATED MANAGER (DM). THE DC
AND DM AT YOUR AGENCY MUST HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE
REQUIREMENTS IN MN STATUTES, CHAPTER 245D, AND MN RULE 9544 IN ORDER
TO PROVIDE EFECTIVE SERVICES FOR THE INDIVIDUALS’ SUPPORTED AND
YOUR AGENCY’S SUCCESS.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This training is designed for all Designated Managers and
Designated Coordinators supporting individuals in 245D licensed
residential or vocational intensive support services.
WHAT SHOULD PARTICPANTS EXPECT?
Designated Coordinator Basic Training is an interactive course that
will give you a comprehensive understanding of 245D regulations and
how to implement them in your agency. You will receive all course
material, along with sample forms. Attendees will also be trained
and meet the training requirements for Chapter 9544, the Positive
Support Rule.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
* 9544 – Positive Support Strategies and Restrictive
Interventions
* Functional behavior assessments and person-centered planning and
delivery
* Including staff in organizational decisions and organization
management based on person-centered thinking and practices
* Service recipient rights
* Health services, including medication administration requirements
* Examples and explanation of how to create CSSPAs, PAPPs, IAPPs and
SMAs
* Protection standards
* Teambuilding
DETAILS
Designated Coordinator Basic Training is scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM
December 4th and 5th.
Lunch will be provided for attendees.
