PURPOSE Allina Health’s two-day Clinical Nursing Conference is designed to provide current, evidence-based information relevant to the care of cardiac and critically ill patients. The breakout format provides more choices in topics and allows participants to focus on specialty areas. Sessions with a focus on progressive care/telemetry will be offered in addition to critical care and cardiology. We are excited to offer this conference and confident that participants will find this to be an excellent learning experience. ANCC Accreditation will be provided at this conference! TARGET AUDIENCE This CONFERENCE IS FOR NURSES AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS WHO WISH TO INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE IN PROVIDING CARE TO CARDIAC, trauma or intensive care unit patients. KEYNOTES _FEBRUARY 25 – DR. COREY MARTIN, __FOUNDER OF INNOVATIONS IN RESILIENCE_ MOVING FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING Burnout is epidemic in healthcare and many other professions. Dr. Martin talks about how common burnout is and the consequences to our personal wellbeing, the organizations we work for and the people and patients we care for. He shares simple, efficient techniques to combat and prevent burnout and improve our relationships with our loved ones, colleagues and patients. _FEBRUARY 26 – NORA MCINERNY, __AUTHOR AND HOST OF TERRIBLE, THANKS FOR ASKING PODCAST _ FINDING MEANING IN WORK Can we really “check our feelings at the door” when we come to work? How do we approach people with humanity and kindness while still getting our jobs done? In this presentation, you will learn how to bring your humanity to work, even when work includes the most messy/beautiful parts of life. You will learn specific language to use (and not to use) with colleagues and patients who are going through difficult times. AGENDA ACCREDITATION The individual is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education for their discipline. In addition, you may be required to provide proof of attendance to the board upon request such as certificate, handout, agenda etc. You should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program. _ANCC NURSING _- THIS ACTIVITY HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE WNA CEAP to award contact hours. Wisconsin Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (6.25 hours per day/12.50 total hours) _OTHER(S) _- Individuals representing other professional disciplines may submit course materials to their respective professional associations for 6.25 per day/12.50 total hours of continuing education credit. TUITION & REGISTRATION DEADLINE _SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23/MIDNIGHT._ There are additional fees if you register after this date. Total Tuition is made up of the _tuition price + fees_.
