Somali Language, Food and Culture Sessions

Come learn SOMALI CONVERSATIONAL PHRASES AND EXPLORE SOMALI FOOD AND CULTURE! Your facilitator, Farhiya Iman, will act as your guide through 4 exciting Somali language and culture sessions (once a month from Feb. through May, 2020). You will learn conversational phrases to share with your colleagues, customers/clients/patients, or friends. You'll also dive into Somali culture exploring things like family roles and religion. Somali food and drink will also be provided! Please sign up for your *free* tickets and plan to attend all 4 sessions, as we will build on your knowledge each time! Sessions are held on the last Saturday of each month, Feb-May 2020: Saturday, February 29th, 3-4:30pm Saturday, March 28th, 3-4:30pm Saturday, April 25th, 3-4:30pm Saturday, May 30th, 3-4:30pm This event is made possible thanks to a grant from the Minnesota Humanities Center and the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. It is funded in part with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
