The New Gospel Keynotes featuring Jeffrey Newberry
The Gospel Keynotes produced more than 20 albums and such songs as "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" and the signature song "That's My Son." The Keynotes, received a 1981 Grammy nomination for "Ain't No Stopping Us Now," changed its name to Willie Neal Johnson and the New Keynotes in 1985. The Keynotes received Stellar Awards, gospel's highest honor, for "Lord Take Us Through" and "The Country Boy Goes Home" and a Stellar nomination for "The Country Boy Goes Home II."
Mr. Johnson's group was inducted into the American Gospel Quartet Hall of Fame in Birmingham and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Detroit.
