The Black Ensemble Players Present: A Workshop on the intersections of Shakespeare and Social Justice

Sat 17 August 2019
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Ended

The purpose of this workshop is to facilitate an active dialogue around Shakespeare and social justice. Specifically how Shakespeare can trigger, activate memories and resonate amongst varying identities. Shakespeare was originally performed by white male bodies; as we start to recognize the universality in his text we must also recognize how his text can target specific identities.
