JFS, in partnership with Sholom Home East and the Alzheimer’s
Association, facilitates a caregiver support group for people who are
providing care to a loved one suffering from dementia. The group is
designed to provide proven resources and methods for caregivers who
are caring for a someone with dementia at home or considering in-home
services or a transition to assisted living or long-term care. During
the meeting, members discuss experiences and emotions that accompany
this often-challenging role. The comfort, support, and validation
gained by interacting with others in a similar position can be vital
to the mental and physical well-being of a caregiver. The group meets
on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 3-4 p.m. in the
Community Room at Sholom Home East, 740 Kay Avenue, St. Paul. The
group is free and open to the public. For questions or to RSVP,
contact Grace at (651) 690-8903 or [email protected] , or Cassandra
at (651) 328-2014 or [email protected] . + Google Calendar + iCal
