CWE Cocktail Party

Saturday, June 14, the Central West End will once again celebrate, what many have claimed as the first COCKTAIL PARTY ON RECORD. The CWE is home to what many have claimed as the first COCKTAIL PARTY ON RECORD — held in 1917 by Mrs. Julius S. Walsh Jr. in her home at 4510 Lindell Boulevard. Each year, the CWE pays tribute to this very important anniversary and celebrates the neighborhood history in style!The event is located on Euclid Ave. between Maryland and McPherson. The event draws thousands of people to the streets of the CWE for a fun-filled evening of music, dancing, and celebration. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, a spirited cocktail competition featuring some of St. Louis' top bartenders, delicious food and drinks available for purchase from participating CWE bars and restaurants. The event will feature music by The Playadors, The Mighty Pines, Hard Bop Messengers and Ish Ensemble, as well as aerial performances, dancing, fire dancers, unicyclists, cotton candy and more.
