The CHIEF SILVERNAIL CRUSHER RACE IS BACK IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE EMS WARRIOR CHALLENGE! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The BackStoppers Inc. and Responder Rescue to support our first responders. What Is The EMS WARRIOR CHALLENGE? Brought to you by SSM Health this 2 person team competition is filled with emergency situations and physical CHALLENGES THAT TEST YOUR ABILITY TO WORK AS A TEAM UNDER PRESSURE. Only 1 team member needs emergency level training. Perfect for fire, police, healthcare professionals and others who provide for our community's health and safety. Grab a partner and together you can tackle this event and maybe take home the trophy! EMS WARRIOR CHALLENGE - 2 person - 1 mile - Team Competition that tests your knowledge of emergency situations along with muddy onstacles. (10:00am) This race is the baddest, most awesome, dirtiest test of your stamina, mental strength, camaraderie, and fitness around. Come run, jump, crawl and climb through obstacles and fitness tests all for an amazing cause. Thank you for your generosity! Who is CHIEF JIM SILVERNAIL? Chief Jim Silvernail, former fire chief in the St. Louis area and avid supporter of the BackStoppers, recently passed away after becoming ill in March of 2018. As an honorary member of the Woodard family, the company is hosting a memorial mud run in Chief Silvernails honor. During his distinct 60-year term of service, he served as a career firefighter with the Creve Coeur Fire Protection District, volunteer deputy chief for the Eureka Fire Protection District and fire chief to both the Metro West Fire Protection District, as well as the Mehlville Fire Protection District, before retiring in April of 2010.The love that Chief Silvernail had for supporting our first responders, matched his commitment to the fire service. As such, he spent much of his time helping support nonprofit fundraisers big and small.
