About this Event
Meeting Location: Union Station. Meet under the clock, next to Rally House. Address: 30 W Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO Parking: Parking garage for a fee is next door | Free parking on Main Street may be available. Enjoy a 1.5-hour narrated, walking tour to explore Kansas City’s intriguing past. You’ll learn about Tom Pendergast & the Irish Machine, Johnnie Lazia and the KC Mob, bootlegging during Prohibition, prostitution, gambling and underground tunnels that still exist today! We’ll walk about 1-mile in total, and ride the free KC Streetcar to get us into the River Market. Following the tour, join the group for a drink in an old, historical speakeasy , or take the streetcar back to Union Station on your own.
