City Raptors at SciFest: Community Science Showcase

#SciFestSTL The SAINT LOUIS SCIENCE CENTER brings together SCIENCE, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) related professionals from the Saint Louis Metropolitan area to serve as successful role models during the 2018 SCIFEST: COMMUNITY SCIENCE SHOWCASE. City RAPTORS IS A PROJECT OF DIGITAL ARTS COLLABORATIVE  to inspire urban residents to understand and act for their environment. Paricipants in this citizen SCIENCE EXERCISE WILL BE ABLE TO SUBMIT SIGHTINGS OF URBAN HAWKS THROUGH AN ONLINE FORUM. Communities will be encouraged to create interaction guidlesines and work for habitat protection. To increase our understanding of wildlife adaptations to urban areas we look forward to deploying a mobile app and establishing complimentary EcoArt programs. City RAPTORS will have a display and interactive booth to  * highlight our staff, areas of expertise, research and study, * share the values and rewards of our careers, * encourage proper academic preparation, * motivate by personal example, * break down racial and gender stereotypes and barriers in STEAM. The SciFest: Community Science Showcase is a non-traditional, one-on-one atmosphere between presenters and visitors.
