The mystery and illicit nature of ABSINTHE HAS MADE IT THE STUFF OF
LEGENDS, an inspiration for artists and a prohibited spirit illegal
for almost a century. New Orleans has quite a history with the
substance including being the first place in the states to sell it
often. It could be found at one of the many "ABSINTHE HOUSES" and
also at the oldest bar in America "La Fittes Blacksmith shop" which
still is in operation today.At VooDoo we felt is not only nessecary to
carry absinthe, but to carry multiple varities AND to serve them the
traditional way with a 200 year old fountain! We have 7 varities of
Absinthe in stock and we want to give you the opportunity to try all
7, or any mixture of them you would like.
We will also have an expert on hand to go over the history of the
drink itself and the tasting notes on each particular style. Our
awesome kitchen staff will have delicious eats to enjoy! After the
event feel free to stick around for karaoke.
General Admission is FREE but you must get a free ticket in order to
attend. Free tickets come with a 15% off discount on Absinthe. We
strongly suggest buying one of the flights or full experience tastings
however as they are more than HALF off the retail price per drink of
the green fairy.
