PANTHERTECH WORKSHOPS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO THE CURRENT GSU STUDENTS,
FACULTY AND STAFF.
We’ve all been forced to sit through really boring and ineffective
presentations. POWERPOINT doesn’t have to be that way! We’ll share
and practice using design tips to help you transform your
presentations from boring to brilliant. We’ll cover features used in
both the PC and Mac versions.
WORKSHOP TOPICS
* PowerPoint best practices
* Design tips
* PowerPoint slide analysis and transformation
* Working with multimedia
* Designing with SmartArt
SPECIAL NOTE: Please arrive early! It may take a few minutes to
log in and get set-up to follow along with the workshop.
FAQS
ARE THERE ID REQUIREMENTS?
* YES. Georgia State University students, faculty and
staff MUST bring a valid Panther ID card to the workshop.
Driver’s license or any other form of ID can NOT be accepted. Not
with Georgia State? See “I don’t have a Panther ID card”
below.
I DON'T HAVE A PANTHERID CARD. I’M NOT A CURRENT STUDENT OR GSU
EMPLOYEE!
* This workshop is for current students, faculty, and staff of
Georgia State University only.
* For any GSU individuals who arrive without your Panther ID, please
note we can't guarantee you'll be admitted. A Panther ID is
required for use of most GSU campus facilities.
* If you have any questions please e-mail panthertech@gsu.edu.
COMPUTERS PROVIDED
* For computer application and programing workshops a training
computer will be provided for the workshop.
WHERE DO I PARK?
* Parking information for GSU's Atlanta and Perimeter campuses is
at https://parking.gsu.edu/ [https://parking.gsu.edu/]. You'll find
info on Student, Faculty, and Staff parking. For a specific
Perimeter campus, select "Perimeter College" from the menu at the top
of the page.
I’M RUNNING LATE. CAN I STILL ATTEND?
* It can take a few minutes to log in and get set-up to follow along
in the workshop, so we ask folks to arrive early. However, to limit
disruption we limit admission to 15 minutes after published start
time. Too late? That happens – check back
at http://technology.gsu.edu/panthertech
[http://technology.gsu.edu/panthertech] for the next workshop.
I’D LIKE TO BRING SOMEONE WITH ME. IS THAT OK?
* Yes! The more the merrier. They’ll need to bring their
Panther ID card with them. If they aren’t from GSU and
unfortunately they can't participate in the workshop.
