Join us for a lecture and presentation by local historian Joe Curtis.

"Life on the Comstock was highly varied. It was a sophisticated community. Not unlike an average middle class community out west today.  It was cold, it was hot, it rained, it snowed, with lots of saloons, both well to do and poor classes of people, there was plenty of entertainment, sufficient saloons to meet the needs.  There were social clubs, retail business plying all the general needs of the day and churches if so inclined.  Life was hard but could be softer if you had the money.  Dying was easy but there was a very nice cemetery and several competent Undertakers. You could buy most all your needs of the day.  From paint to silverware, from the finest Paris dresses (for the women only) and top quality boots made to order right here in Virginia City.

This is an all ages event.

Tickets are $5/person (4 and under are free).
