2nd Annual Ickey Woods Celebrity Golf Tournament

ICKEY WOODS CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT WEEKEND IS SET FOR LAS VEGAS OCTOBER 17-19, 2020 _The star-studded event is set for the prestigous Dragon Ridge Country Club and will benefit the Jovante Woods Foundation & the Children’s Hospital of Nevada - UMC_ The 2nd ANNUAL ICKEY WOODS CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT IS COMING TO LAS VEGAS ON OCTOBER 17-19, 2020 at the prestigeous DRAGON RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB. The TOURNAMENT WEEKEND OF EVENTS WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT THE JOVANTE WOODS FOUNDATION FOR AWARENESS AND WORK WITH THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM ASTHMA AND UMC'S CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF SOUTHERN NEVADA. As part of the weekend’s events the foundation will host a Jovante Woods Asthma Awareness Day on Saturday, October 17, 2020  from 12pm-4pm at Sunset Park. The Foundation will offer free asthma screening on site, courtesy of the UMC Children's Hospital, and is open to the public. Jovante Woods died in 2010 at the young age of 16. The younger Woods succumbed after two asthma attacks. Ickey Woods has devoted the remainder of his life to fighting this horrible condition and bringing awareness so no other parent loses a child due to asthma. “As a parent, there is nothing worse than losing a child,” Woods said. “I don’t want any parent to go through what I did so it’s my duty and my calling to fight asthma and do what I can to make sure we put an end to asthma deaths in our country.” WOODS IS A FORMER ALL-Pro running back for the Cincinnati Bengals and member of the UNLV Sports Hall of Fame. The fundraiser will include a slew of former professional athletes who will be serving as CELEBRITY CAPTAINS.
