North East Backcountry Discovery Routes Expedition Documentary Film and Talk

The Central NH/VT Riders would like to cordially invite you to a showing of Backcountry Discovery Routes' latest film showcasing the epic adventure known as the Northeast BDR. This route is 1317 miles beginning in New York and ending at one of the most northern parts of Maine. The route designed by a team of volunteer BDR Ambassadors required thousands of hours of planning and coordination with local landowners.

This showing will feature the movie presented theatre style at Dartmouth Hitchcock's Auditorium H and a Q&A with BDR Ambassador and key member of the NEBDR development team, Eric Milano of MotoVermont who has graciously donated his time to us for any questions you have and maybe a few stories. Refreshments will be available for donation going to Mascoma Project Grad ( https://www.facebook.com/MascomaProjectGrad/) with all ticket-sales going to RideBDR (First $250) and the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHAD) receiving all additional funds.​ https://www.chadkids.org/

The film features eight-time AMA National Enduro Champion Mike Lafferty of KTM, and international ADV celebrity and BMW International GS Trophy team member, Jocelin Snow, along with BDR board members. Taking a first run on the NEBDR, the team tests their endurance and skills on an epic 1,400-mile backcountry tour of the Northeast region up to the Canadian border. The route meanders through seven states and nearly a dozen state forests on rustic dirt and gravel roads, challenging seasonal and class 4 roads, and twisty tarmac.
Backcountry Discovery Routes® (BDR®) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that creates off-highway routes for adventure and dual-sport motorcycle travel. The organization’s work includes promoting rider education and safety campaigns, driving economic relief to rural communities, and encouraging responsible motorcycle travel in the backcountry. Through the careful investment of funds and working with land managers and other public benefit organizations, BDR seeks to keep remote roads and public trails open for motorcycling for generations to come.
BDR delivers turn-key trip planning resources to the community including GPS tracks, digital maps, travel information, route condition updates, YouTube videos, Q&As, and other information – all available 24/7 on www.RideBDR.com.
