HOLLIS -- The Hollis Town Band will perform its annual Pops Concert on Sunday, April 12, at Alpine Grove Events Center in Hollis.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the concert starts at 2:30 p.m. The band will play a variety of music, including Gustav Holst’s “Second Suite in F,” a James Bond movie medley, and pop songs by Neil Diamond and Elton John.
The band will also feature soloist David Deifik, playing Antonio Vivaldi’s “Concerto in C for Piccolo.”
Admission is $30, and tickets may be purchased from any Hollis Town Band member or through EventBrite at
Tickets include admission to the band concert and a dessert buffet, available before and during the concert.
There will also be a raffle with tickets available for purchase during the event, with opportunities to win an Amazon gift card, great prizes from local businesses, and a chance to conduct the band in John Philip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever."
All money raised from this event goes toward ongoing expenses, such as purchasing new music and the band’s scholarship fund.
