« All Events Dog Day MORNING HIKE – SQUAM LAKES ASSOCIATION April 1
@ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm « Open Mic Night at Patrick’s Pub Lunchbox
Paintbox – The Belknap Mill » This is a hike through Chamberlain
Reynold’s Memorial Forest with some special guests… your dogs!
Leading the hike will be AmeriCorp’s member Maggy, who has been a
dog handler and trainer for over 10 years. We all love to hike with
our dogs, however we often do not realize the great impact that having
our dogs with us has on the surrounding environment. This is not all
a matter of common sense, so even if you consider yourself an avid and
responsible hiker, you may still learn something new. This hike is
open to any dog owners or future dog owners who wish to learn about
how to be a low impact hiker with your canine friends. This is not
only beneficial for the environment, but also for public access to
trails. Non-pet areas often allowed dogs at one point, but had to
instill a rule due to ecological damage. For this hike, we are
requiring that dogs who attend be people friendly, dog friendly, and
good leash walkers. We are also asking for a maximum of 2 dogs per
registered participant, so as to keep the group at a controlled size.
Registration is required. Space is limited to 6 dogs max with a limit
of 2 per registrant. + Google Calendar + iCal Export Details Date:
