Our set at ‘All That Jazz’ will feature the latest addition to our
rotation of incredible regional jazz vocalists, the ultra-talented
Aviana Gedler - a rising jazz star in Boston. She’ll be channelin’
Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, and much more - the best vocal
treatments of the Great American Songbook and beyond. And, as if
THAT’S not enough, the band will sprinkle in a few instrumental
features from greats such as Tom Kubis, and Chris Walden, and a few
surprises (think Maynard Ferguson..).
AVIANA’s a jazz singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, with
an unwavering passion for music and performance artistry. She placed
2nd in the 2024 Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition and has
showcased her talent in many performances across the Midwest,
including the Iowa City Jazz Festival and the ‘Jazz in July’
concert series in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2022, she earned her Associate
of Applied Arts degree from the SCHOOL FOR MUSIC VOCATIONS IN CRESTON,
Iowa, and received the 2021 and 2022 Downbeat Magazine awards for
‘Best Vocal Jazz Soloist’ in the community college division.
AVIANA WILL BE GRADUATING FROM THE NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY IN BOSTON,
Massachusetts, has studied there with with Dominique Eade and Ran
Blake, and enjoys collaborating with other musicians and performing in
