ASSESS FOR SUCCESS: Leveraging Danielson 3d to advance learning
ASSESSMENT IS PART OF — not the end of — instruction. Effectively
using ASSESSMENTS MEANS BOTH TEACHERS AND STUDENTS USE ASSESSMENT
RESULTS TO INFORM THEIR OWN TEACHING AND LEARNING, respectively.
Tests, projects, papers, experiments, and problems — whether solved
correctly or incorrectly — provide valuable information about next
steps in the teaching and learning process. Using ASSESSMENTS CAN FEEL
LIKE A BARRIER TO EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTION, getting in the way of
precious classroom time. In this three-part SERIES, we'll embark on an
in-depth exploration of Danielson component 3d, and support teachers
in understanding ASSESSMENTS AS TOOLS THAT CAN FOCUS THEIR INSTRUCTION
TO ADVANCE LEARNING. We'll explore not only the why (theory) but also
the how (practice) of fully integrating both formative and summative
ASSESSMENTS INTO YOUR TEACHING PRACTICE. --------------------
