The power of 21st century projects Harness the power of 21st century capacities at this project-based LEARNING INSTITUTE, where you'll have the chance to navigate the PBL process as a participant, and as an educator looking to implement new instructional strategies in your classroom. Preview innovative workshops, practice new instructional strategies, and make connections with other teachers while designing your own project around one of the following themes: Mapping History Modeling in Mathematics Poetry & prose Reading & discussion Remixing performance Scientific Exploration The Big LEARNING CHALLENGE IS BUILT AROUND THE FOLLOWING IDEAS:  In a data-driven and rules-based educational landscape, teachers need specific models for dynamic 21st century project-based LEARNING WHICH IS FAR MORE EFFECTIVE THAN CHALK-and-talk methodologies Without models, experience in practice, and experimentation in a supportive setting, teachers are likely to rely on the test prep mentality when planning their units and lessons Providing interdisciplinary models for project-based LEARNING THAT TEACHERS CAN IMPLEMENT IN AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT More information is available on our website.  Can't make it to the Big LEARNING CHALLENGE?
