March 20th: Is Trump a Fascist? The charge of fascism has been hurled
at America's new C.E.O., coming from hand-drawn protest signs to
polished op-ed pieces in the NEW YORK Times. In a series of
discussions, we'll explore the nature of fascism, lessons from the
history of its rise in the 1920s-30s, the particular manifestations of
the homegrown rightwing in this country, and--most importantly--what
can and must be done to defeat it. At this week's meeting, we’ll
discuss key points from “Fascism: What It Is and How to Fight It,”
by Leon Trotsky, and explore it’s relevance to today. The reading
