International Jazz Day 2017 Celebration - Dwyer Cultural Center,

SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 2017 INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION AND THE DWYER CULTURAL CENTER INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR OUR 4TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY IN HARLEM. We will celebrate the 100th birthdays of Jazz Legends Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk and Mongo Santamaria, with a swinging dance, listening and viewing birthday party, as well as, a Jazz themed exhibition of renowned artists. We will also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first Jazz recording released, in 1917. We will be honoring noted jazz critic Ron Scott, of the Amsterdam News, who will present an exciting multimedia presentation of the Jazz Legends. Each guest will receive a 24" X 36" complimentary Thelonious Monk commemorative poster titled "Himself" by noted artist Gina Samson. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!
