You are registering for a 3-session series, which takes place on: June 4th, June 5th, and June 6th

--------------------

Unleash your creativity

You nurture your student writers. Let us nurture you with:

  •  Compelling writing activities to bring back to your classroom
  •  Protected time and space to write
  •  Space to share stories for understanding, empathy and equity
  •  Insights for writing instruction best practices

This experiential, hands-on writing workshop is designed to help both you, and in turn, help your students craft prose with voice, authenticity and vitality, and build a strong, supportive, joyous writing classroom. We will explore strategies for finding inspiration, locating meaningful fiction and nonfiction ideas, structuring and developing the story, and sharing work. Our methods are easily and effectively transferable to the classroom, will strengthen writing skills across genres, encourage writers to go beyond constraining forms and formulas, promote community in the classroom, and draw on diverse interests, backgrounds, and experiences.

Come ready to write, reflect on the process, and gain insights and understandings for best practice application with students. When teachers develop their own writing practice, classrooms are transformed for student writers as well.

To pay for your attendance using a purchase order

Have your school contact cpet@tc.edu to initiate this process. A PO must be created by your school & received by CPET prior to registration closing in order for a promo code to be generated.

Once we've received a PO, we will provide your school with a promo code to distribute to the teachers they are funding. The promo code will allow you to bypass Eventbrite's payment section, so that there is no out-of-pocket cost to you. You will still be required to complete a registration form.
