Join the Bronfman Center and Hillel at NYU for a night of music,
dancing, food, fun, and a beautiful HAVDALAH SERVICE. ON FEBRUARY
29TH, 2,000 STUDENTS, ALUMNI, PARENTS, AND FRIENDS WILL COME TOGETHER
FOR A NIGHT OF MUSIC, DANCING, FOOD, FUN, AND A BEAUTIFUL HAVDALAH
SERVICE AT METROPOLITAN PAVILION.
HAVDALAH UNDER THE STARS [http://bronfmancenter.org/havdalah] is one
of NYU’s premier events and the largest Jewish student-run event in
the United States, planned and executed by Hillel at NYU and the
Bronfman Center. This year, the event will take place on a Saturday
evening, and the community will celebrate Havdalah, the Jewish ritual
that marks the end of Shabbat. It signifies the end of the Jewish week
and allows a space for the community to welcome the new week together.
Shabbat for 2000 is the Bronfman Center's annual signature event and
Havdalah Under the Stars builds on this beautiful tradition.
HILLEL AT NYU is a non-denominational Jewish organization that hosts
cultural and social events for the entire Jewish student community,
while fostering open dialogue between the various Jewish clubs on
campus and the greater NYU community.
Founded in 1996, NEW YORK University's EDGAR M. BRONFMAN CENTER FOR
JEWISH STUDENT LIFE [http://www.bronfmancenter.org/] engages one of
the largest Jewish student populations in the United States. The
Bronfman Center creates an open and pluralistic environment where
students can learn, explore and celebrate the many faces of Jewish
identity and expression.
