Hudson County Community College celebrates the work of Katie
Niewodowski at this EXHIBITION, on view through Dec. 15 at two
locations - the HCCC Gabert Library, 71 Sip Ave., JERSEY CITY, and the
North Hudson Library, 4800 Kennedy Blvd., Union City. The EXHIBITION
IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR ADMISSION. Katie
Niewodowski is a professor of visual arts at Hudson County Community
College, Montclair State University and Stevens Institute of
Technology. Inspired by the structure of cells and the universe,
Niewodowski’s art is a meditation on life. The ARTIST EXPLORES
REPEATING PATTERNS IN NATURE, the interconnectedness of life forms,
and the portal into their networks. Her portfolio includes portraits,
drawings, prints, and multidimensional objects. She uses materials
such as acrylic and oil paint, silicone, polymer clay, resin, plastic,
Styrofoam, mirrors, and wood. Groups of six to 30 visitors are invited
to free 45-minute tours of the EXHIBITION. The HCCC Gabert Library is
open weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The HCCC North Hudson Campus
Library is open weekdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Both libraries are
open Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
