Anyone can become an ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARD! This program is designed
to introduce non-scientists to the science behind important
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AFFECTING NJ. STEWARDS THEN GIVE BACK TO THEIR
OWN COMMUNITIES BY HELPING TO SOLVE LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS. If
you have a passion for the environment, a desire to learn and a
willingness to volunteer, then this program is for you! Classes are
taught by experts from RUTGERS UNIVERSITY AND NON-profit and
government organizations. Field trips to ENVIRONMENTALLY SIGNIFICANT
SITES AROUND THE STATE ARE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE PROGRAM. Learn

Protection Invasive Species Wildlife Management Habitat Conservation
Protecting Pollinators ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TO BECOME A CERTIFIED
RUTGERS ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARD, graduates of the class portion of the
program complete a unique 60-hour volunteer internship of their
choosing. The program runs every Tuesday from January 21st to June
16th and one ticket covers all of the meeting dates. RUTGERS
COOPERATIVE EXTENSION AND DUKE FARMS HAVE PARTNERED IN BRINGING THE
RUTGERS ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARD PROGRAM TO PARTICIPANTS SINCE THE
PROGRAM’s inception. Classes are held at DUKE FARMS, 1112 Duke
Parkway West, Hillsborough, NJ, Tuesdays from 10:00-1:00 PM, Late
