Now that you've successfully completed the Mood U Beginner Sewing Course, you're ready to graduate to the next level - Intermediate! Everything you learned from sewing your Mood U Tote Bag will be the foundation of skills and techniques you'll need for basic garment construction.Students will learn more about, pattern layout, fabric cutting, garment construction, and finishing techniques for garment construction. Everything from taking measurements, to sewing invisible zippers, machine buttonholes and more! This class is a perfect opportunity for you to realise your sewing dreams at the next level and enjoy the creative process of making clothes. COURSE FEE INCLUDES: 6 weeks of hands-on professional SEWING INSTRUCTION TAUGHT BY OUR TEAM OF EXPERTS 1 computerized SEWING MACHINE ASSIGNED TO EACH STUDENT EVERY CLASS FOR 6 WEEKS 1 commercial pattern from selection of pre-approved INTERMEDIATE LEVEL PATTERNS (see in-store display) Students will also need their Mood U Sewing Kit which can be purchased in-store for approximately $145.00, or you may purchase required supplies individually as needed. WHAT ARE MY TRANSPORT/PARKING OPTIONS GETTING TO THE EVENT? Mood Fabrics and Mood U are conveniently located close to many subway stations, all within a 5-10min walk. A/C/E AT 34TH ST 1/2/3 AT 34TH ST N/Q/R AT 42ND ST 7 AT HUDSON YARDS/34TH ST Street parking in Midtown Manhattan is not recommended. There are multiple parking stations nearby should you wish to drive.  CAN I BRING MY OWN SUPPLIES FROM HOME? All required supplies are included in the Mood U Sewing Kit. No outside supplies are permitted in class. CAN I STILL SIGN UP IF I HAVE TO MISS ONE OF THE SIX CLASSES? Absolutely! The classes are structured to complete a part of your project week by week, however if you should miss a class the Mood U team will work with you to get back on track with your project. We also offer 2 sessions of Open Sewing Lab every Wednesday, 3:30PM-5:00PM and 5:15PM-6:45PM should you need extra time. Tickets can be purchased in-store only. CAN I GET A REFUND IF I HAVE TO CANCEL? Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Mood Fabrics has a no returns & no exchange policy on items purchased in store (eg: sewing kits, fabric and other supplies) DO I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN SEWING MACHINE? No, we provide each student with a sewing machine. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT LEVEL I SHOULD START AT? _BEGINNER LEVEL CLASSES_ are for students who have no previous experience, or have a little experience but have not created any projects in a while and wish to refresh their beginner knowledge. _INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASSES_ are for students who have had some experience with simple projects and wish to take their skills to the next level. _ADVANCED LEVEL CLASSES_ are for students who have had a reasonable amount of experience and wish to learn a higher level of skill. All of our classes at every level are very social and a lot of students continue to return to keep learning but also to enjoy the social aspect. CAN I SWITCH CLASSES? We ask you to choose a class time that works best with your weekly schedule. Switching classes is not always possible, however we will always try to accommodate requests when asked.
