Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school
theater programming to New York City’s most under-served public high
schools, is thrilled to present its 11th Annual Benefit Play Reading,
A NIGHT OF YES!, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017!
Starring Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba, Hamilton’s
Christopher Jackson, Moana’s Auli'i Cravalho, and directed for the
third year in a row by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the
Sun, HAIRSPRAY LIVE!), the event features scenes by renowned
playwrights Katori Hall and Ike Holter, an original work by the
students of Opening Act, as well as special musical performances that
remind us of the #POWEROFYES.
SAY YES to a powerful, celebratory, and uplifting night to support the
remarkable young people of Opening Act!
