Historic Downtown Aztec Walking Tour
Event ended

Join volunteer docent Carol Holding for an informative walking tour of Old Aztec.

The tour begins and ends at the Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village. The tour covers local downtown history including part of Main Street and nearby historic neighborhood. Learn about the history of old Aztec, its buildings and the people who built it. Please arrive 25 minutes prior; tour lasts 75 minutes. Young children should be in strollers. We encourage you to bring sunscreen and water and to wear comfortable walking shoes. Guests receive a copy of our “Historic Aztec Walking and Biking Tour Guide.”

The tour is conducted by Carol Holding, long-time resident of Aztec. Her interest in the town’s history sprang from living in an historic house. She taught 4th grade New Mexico history for 20 years in a local elementary school and shared her self-taught passion with her students through walking tours of Aztec.

Cost is $10 adults and $6 for youth. Includes museum admission.
