Fundamentals of Watercolor - Albuquerque, NM 2026

Day 1: Blind contour drawings of a still life. Focus on blending, light to dark painting, & color placement. Day 2: Contrast & layering. Use a limited palette, complementary colors, & sectioned image to emphasize layering & tone. Day 3: New techniques: wax resist, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, & salt resist. Apply lessons loosely & introduce the final project. Day 4: Creative application. Students choose their subject, with guidance. A still life will be set up for inspiration.
