Mariposa, is pleased to announce the return of the SolFest music festival on Saturday, June 10. The event coincides with the Grand Opening of Richmond American Homes new Mariposa neighborhood known as Seasons at Monarch.
Mariposa’s East Commons Park at 2501 Parkway Ave., in Rio Rancho provides the perfect venue to spread out, grab a bite to eat, meet the neighbors and jam to the sounds of The DCN Project, Lani Nash and Mariachi Tierra Del Encanto. All are welcome to attend this free, family-friendly event on Saturday, June 10, from 3 to 7 p.m.
This year Mariposa is pleased to feature headliner, The DCN Project. This versatile trio covers a range of genres including R&B, Jazz, Soul and Funk. The show will kick off with Lani Nash, a regular favorite at M’Tucci’s and quickly building a following in the Albuquerque area. New Mexico favorites, Mariachi Tierra Del Encanto rounds out the festival line-up with an eight-piece group delivering their signature big sound and tight orchestration. The event will be emceed by KOB TV 4 anchor and Mariposa resident, Tessa Mentus. Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull will be on hand to welcome fans to the show as well. And the music is just the beginning of the fun. Eight food trucks will be on-site with treats to please all taste buds, while an adjacent beer garden will feature a variety of adult beverages. Lawn and children’s games will add some extra entertainment for the crowd and local vendors will join the fun with clothing, food, home décor items and more for purchase.
SolFest also provides visitors their first opportunity to tour models and quick move-in homes in Mariposa’s newest neighborhood, Seasons at Monarch by Richmond American homes. Presales are underway. This includes homes with the UltraGarage®, perfect for storing outdoor vehicles of all types. Seasons at Monarch features both single-story ranch and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,590 to 2,630 square feet with three to six-bedroom options.
A free shuttle is provided for overflow parking and to take visitors to the models throughout the festival.
