Join the University of New Mexico’s Lobo Aquathlon weekend, April
18–19, 2026, based at Johnson Field on UNM’s campus. This year’s
event is an Aquathlon due to campus construction, and the races will
follow a “reverse” format: run first, then swim. Kids Aquathlon
(ages 1–15) takes place Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 a.m., and the
Adult Aquathlon takes place Sunday, April 19 at 8:00 a.m. The adult
course includes a 2-mile run around UNM (Redondo area) and a 400m swim
in the UNM Seidler Natatorium. Expect a fun, supportive race
atmosphere with finisher medals for all participants and age group
awards. Proceeds support UNM HESS youth programming and graduate
student travel. Register and find details at lobotri.unm.edu.
