Please note start time is 9:00. For any newcomers, please know that
traction devices (spikes) are required for safe hiking on most all
trails we hike during the winter, when we have snow. The Burro hike is
a moderate pace on established trails, 3 hours, moderate -- in our
group, means you can hike up and down Atalaya in 3 hours or so, 4
miles, 1800 elevation gain more or less. If you have not hiked with us
before, please do test yourself on Atalaya to insure you are a good
fit for our hikes. Also, PLEASE be considerate of our wait list, if
you have signed up for a hike and find you cannot attend, PLEASE sign
off as soon as you can, we have had many occasions now of new people
no showing for hikes, and then those on the wait list don t get to
hike with us. Directions to the meeting place: We meet BEHIND Market
