Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse

Have your senses jarred at Long Island’s number one HAUNTED ATTRACTION, GATEWAY’s HAUNTED PLAYHOUSE , as you take a spine-tingling tour through the area’s oldest and most HAUNTED PROFESSIONAL THEATER.As a division of The Gateway, Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse utilizes the numerous theatrical designers and staff at The Gateway – Long Island’s oldest professional theatre. Dozens of professionally trained actors prepare and rehearse each character that inhabits the haunt, giving it a unique, theatrical quality unrivaled on the island. Returning to Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse, the highly anticipated Special Event nights which include First Responders’ Night – bring a valid ID and receive $25 tickets, Zombie Apocalypse – the same haunt but invaded by zombies, Hollywood Horror – the same haunt but featuring your favorite Hollywood characters, Clown Invasion – the same haunt but invaded by maniacal clowns, and Glowstick Night – the same haunt but only a glowstick to guide your way. And for the first time. Much Less Scary Night – the same haunt but no actors, and fewer scares! Every haunt night, the fun begins before the Haunt! Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse features a nightmare carnival, which serves as the Midway – a queuing area where you can sit down with a snack instead of having to stand in line, and it also makes for a perfect waiting area for those not going through the Haunt. In the Midway, you can find our Shooting Gallery, Coffin Ride, Boo-Tique, and “Fear Garden”, which offers beers on tap,  a selection of wines, and Ready-to-Drink Cocktails for guests 21 and older. We also serve soft drinks and snacks. Patrons are strongly recommended to purchase tickets online in advance. Fast Passes are available for an additional charge. Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse is recommended for ages 13 and older. Due to the nature of this event, they are not wheelchair accessible.
