The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to be creative. By learning to draw structured patterns, anyone can learn to draw beautiful art while increasing focus. Zentangle is a meditational art form. No prior experience in drawing is needed. It is enjoyed worldwide, across a wide range of skills, interests, and ages. It provides for artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of well-being. This class will provide the history of Zentangle. Basic steps, vocabulary, basic tools, and structured patterns will be covered. You will be creating actual Zentangle "tiles" and you will leave with a clear understanding of the foundation of Zentangle, that "Anything is possible, one stroke at a time" (Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, founders). Tiles used are 100% cotton paper and you will experience drawing on white, black, and tan tiles. A $25 supply fee is payable to the instructor in class to get you started on your Zentangle journey. This class meets from 6-8:30pm from June 18 through July16. There is no class on July 2.
