TERRAIN: Easy to moderate, mainly rolling hills.
EQUIPMENT: YOU SHOULD BRING A CHANGE OF FOOTWEAR FOR YOUR RIDE HOME
DISTANCE: - likely 4 - 5 miles
PACE: Moderate to Brisk. Although this is a beginner hike, and nobody
gets left behind, WE TEND TO WALK AT A BRISK PACE. Please assess your
ability to keep this pace before signing up.
Meeting location: We will meet at the the MAIN Parking lot for the
Rockefeller State Park Preserve.
The Parking lot is located on the south side of Route 117
approximately halfway between Route 9A to the East and Route 9 to the
West. There are gates and stone walls at the entrance, a large
horse-trailer parking lot, a little toll booth, a visitors center and
a bathroom building

CANCELLATION NOTICES: I will cancel by 1:00 pm if the weather looks
dicey or if the hiking conditions are not great.
PETS: Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome. The park requires dogs
to be leashed at all times. It is possible that we will encounter one
or more horses with riders or carriages.
