his group starts off inside with a consistent morning routine and then
has time for an activity that can happen either inside or outside.
After that its the playground or splash pad mid morning to enjoy the
sprinklers. Snack is often enjoyed outdoors in the shade. We hope to
be able to continue providing some walking trips for the children
including visiting the Farmers Market in Prospect Park, the Koi Pond
in Greenwood Cemetery and more. Bambini will have an outdoor sensory
art, explorative science, and Sports & Games specials weekly. This
summer, we look forward to again exploring art and science within our
Brooklyn neighborhood community. While we wont be venturing out as far
into the boroughs as usual, we know that we can create a fun summer
experience for your children. We will work to provide individualized
materials and create practices that allow children to be safe while
also being engaged and getting some exercise. We hope to be able to
going to various playgrounds and enjoying the beautiful weather as
much as possible. Some ways our camp has changed: We will not have
travel field trips or go to the public swimming pools. All lunches
will be individualized. Children will sit further apart and we will
prioritize ways to be engaged at a greater distance than is typical in
our program. Staff will wear masks. Children and staff will have
indoor shoes and will only wear those indoors. There will be more
individualized bathroom procedures and more cleaning and disinfecting
processes. Some ways our camp is the same: We will have a science/art
focus We will still provide opportunity for children to walk around
the community and to the parks and playgrounds getting exercise and
running and playing We will still provide opportunities for children
to engage with each other talking and creating with each other in a
safe way. We will still stimulate childrens minds and show them love
and care throughout the day. This list will continue to be updated as
we review guidelines.
